Calgary Ladies Field Hockey Association will be hiring one summer student for May and June 2010. The position starts May 1st 2010 and will run for May and June full time (max. 40 hours/ week). The position will be accountable to the Junior Development Coordinator and the President of the CLFHA.
DUTIES: The successful candidate will be responsible for:
MAY & JUNE: • Promoting field hockey in Calgary
• Providing field hockey clinics to schools in Calgary and where applicable providing assistance to school and community personnel with regard to field hockey instruction and resources.
• Supporting any league development (Calgary Junior Program) in Calgary.
This will include weekend and evening hours.
• Helping with the two Field Hockey Festivals in Calgary (2 weekends)
• Obtaining, transporting, and maintaining any required CLFHA equipment
• Submitting a report to the CLFHA league executive.
• Arranging the schedule with the schools
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Technical expertise in Field and Indoor Hockey
• Teaching and Presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to plan and prepare as well as deliver
• Level I NCCP candidacy is required - certification is preferred
• Applicants must have their own car
REMUNERATION:
- up to $14.00 per hour commensurate with qualifications
- payment will be made on a monthly basis
- mileage will be paid at the end of the contract at $.25/km
